Which kit is right for my child?

Before starting each kit, your child should already have these skills. Find the list that sounds most like your child right now and that is your starting point.

Your child is ready for this kit if they can already do most of these things:

  • Can say at least 500 words
  • Puts 3 or more words together when talking
  • Knows some colours, sizes, and position words like in, on, and under
  • Can follow simple one step instructions like "get your shoes"
  • Can sit and focus on an activity for at least five minutes

Your child is ready for this kit if they can already do most of these things:

  • Can say and use at least 1000 everyday words
  • Speaks in sentences of 5 or more words
  • Knows basic describing words but is ready to learn more
  • Is starting to understand different types of sentences when spoken to
  • Can have a simple back and forth conversation with someone

  • Can say and use at least 3000 everyday words
  • Speaks in long sentences of 7 or more words
  • Is starting to use more complex grammar in sentences
  • Can listen to a story and tell it back in their own words
