These materials and instructional prompts are phenomenal. Families and students love them. They are perfect for integrating talking while playing/manipulating objects, which can be so hard for the students we see. The materials can be combined in many new ways so that flexibility of language and novel sentence structures can be practiced. The language level can easily be adapted for your learner. The use of these materials is almost endless; I have been using them for 4 months nonstop since their purchase, with no end in sight.
Connie and Robyn, you have done it again! Your 2nd version of your Communakits are amazing! Our school division bought them for all of our prek and Kindergarten classes and I have seen them being used every day (not exaggerating). Some teachers made them into a center for the students to use with their peers and I see the students still going there first when they have free play. They love being the 'teacher'!. Connie came to do a presentation for our teacher and the feedback was so positive. One teacher said "That was the best PD I've been to in a long time". For myself as an SLPA, they are still my go to kit and I take them everywhere! I have used them as small group activities and in individual sessions as there are so many goals they cover, and all through play! All the new upgrades in each kit paired with the new pictures cards are a nice touch. I cannot wait to see what they come up with next!
I am so excited and cannot say enough good about these Communakits! They are engaging and exciting for the kids and so easy to adapt and use. The cards that are included are bright and easy to look at and understand, even for the kids. The instructions are easy to follow I love how Connie and Robyn make videos showing these kits in action. I am a speech therapy assistant and my students request these kits all the time and are sad if we have to work on something else first. These now have become my "Go to" kits that I have with me all the time. They are so versatile and can be accommodated to just about any goal I have. (I have turned the beds upside down and put the food on them and have an instant grocery store!) In this set of kits I can target expressive, receptive language, pronouns, labelling and categories and location words by either using each kit independently of the other or mixing and matching kits. The cards that come with them are so easy to use and my students love becoming the teacher. My only regret... is not having these kits sooner and I cannot wait to see what they come out with next!
Communakits were one of the best purchases our school has ever made. The students love them, whether working with our SLP Aide or with a teacher or TA in the classroom. They are hands-on, and engaging for the students. We have been using these kits for several years and they have all stood the test of time and small hands. I would recommend these kits to any school.

We purchased the Communakit as a tool for everyone of our preschool and Kindergarten classrooms to use to enhance and support programming of the SLPs or practice in between therapy sessions. I purchased these at the Greater Edmonton Teacher's Convention, with the idea being that they could help a few students in my classroom. I use them ALL the time. These are not only a great addition to help students work on IPP goals in a fun, interactive way, but I often use them to engage social interactions with peers. All the students like working with the kits and "helping" their peers. The kits make great story starters and it is amazing how many literature connections you can make with these cute, simple objects (eg. bears - Goldilocks and the Three Bears for a Fairy Tale unit, retelling, etc.). Love, love, love these! I strongly recommend them.

I have loved this communakit (all 3 - bears and chairs etc.) I purchased at the Calgary Teachers convention! I use it as a one on one with my high needs students. Others students have asked to play with me now too! It's such a great way to practice our language skills and listening skills! We have created an excellent routine with them, the kids know what is expected/what to do. I've also received helpful videos too!

The communakit is very practical, hands on and rich with learning opportunities. It can be adapted to many different levels or needs and is truly engaging for students. They love it and are building their language skills without even knowing it. That's how fun and dynamic the activities are. Students can interact together or be leaders reading the instructions and monitoring how their partners are doing. A fabulous resource.
I first found communakit at ASHA 23 and I bought the touch and talk kit. I have been using so frequently with my kiddos. They love all the textures and items and I love the cards and all the ways to stimulate communication. Every SLP needs one of these!! I will certainly buy more in the future!
I have all three kits for use in my EAL high school class! They are amazing for soooo many reasons. They help my students physically show me they understand positions, their colors, sizes, shapes, placements, compare and contrast, category sort, even just plain old vocabulary! Naming items, moving items, such amazing manipulatives and resources! Including the data sheets, tracing sheets, work sheets to work with the compare and contrast and category sort ideas! Thank you! And bonus, I bought the sets at a conference, so they had all the sheets laminated and sorted and organized too! SWEEEET! I was able to use it the Monday when I got back to school! No prep!
One word to describe this product is the VERSATILITY! You get so many learning opportunities from this kit. Whether you are a parent, Speech-Language Pathologist, or an educator, you will find a great use for the product. I like using this product for following auditory directions, labeling, and naming a described object.
I am a speech language pathologist and recently purchased "The Whole Kit & Kaboodle." Thus far this kit has been used with (in-person) prek4 to grade 4 students. I have been primarily using the kit to target following directions, prepositions, and grammar. It has been so helpful to have manipulatives and visuals that can be used to scaffold or fade supports, within a less drill based and more play based therapy style. The versatility of the kits is fantastic - not just for ages and abilities but also for goals and concepts! Highly recommend!

We bought the super sentences kit for my girls, one of which was diagnosed with a severe language delay. Since we started using it, her speech has improved so much.
The kit come with little scene cards that the kids will use to practice their language. I’m a firm believer in learning through play and this kit has been a dream. They’ve gone from using the pre-made cards to now creating their own scenes and sentences.

We have been using the Communakit Super Sentences and Touch & Talk Kits in our school division kindergarten and speech/language services rooms for the last two years. These are fantastic tools that have been used successfully to help develop speech, language, play, and social skills. The students LOVE playing with the small objects and looking at the colorful pictures.

I am a Speech Language Pathologist and purchased a Communakit for use with my preschool caseload. It was a fantastic buy. My assistant was able to take it out on visits and it was immediately evident to her the variety of speech and language goals she could target in a play based manner. Her words were, "It's magic"! When I used it with students (and my grandchildren), they were fascinated by the materials included; absolutely riveted! It was a favourite resource and they repeatedly asked to play with it. We purchased all three kits for our pre-kindergarten children and absolutely love how straightforward and practical the kits are. My kids love playing with them and their vocabulary and comprehension have increased since using the kits. We came across the Communakit during a homeschool conference. Our children enjoy learning from this kit! We specifically have used it to teach our children Spanish. Although the cards do not come translated in Spanish, we can still use the pre-written sentences with our children. We have the Super Sentences kit and so much learning has come from it!
