First you're the speaker. Pick up a card and read the sentence at the top. Then the child will arrange the objects to show their understanding. Reveal the card and together compare the image to the arrangement. If it matches, yay! if not, this is your teaching moment.

The child picks up a card and describes the image using the language you just modelled to them when you were the speaker. Arrange the objects as they described and say"ready!" They reveal the picture card and compare it to the arrangement. If it matches, yay! If not, this is your teaching moment.
Easily use in a group
Easily use in a group
Have 4-6 students sit around a table. Place the objects in a tray or container that can easily be passed around. Everyone takes turns being the listener and speaker. This makes a really great "buddy class" activity where the older students can be supporting the younger ones!

Begin here to teach essential early words—especially prepositions. Help children follow directions with increasing amounts of information (supporting verbal working memory, a key executive function). Practice understanding and speaking in simple sentences and develop social communication skills, including how to recognize and repair communication breakdowns.

Next, reinforce prepositions while introducing early grammar (auxiliary verbs, plurals, possessives, and comparatives). Use the sensory-rich materials in this kit to expand children’s basic concept vocabulary. Practice understanding and speaking in descriptive sentences which is how we typically converse. Continue to strengthen verbal working memory and social communication skills.
Super Sentences
Finish with a focus on complex sentences—the building blocks of storytelling and written language. Children learn to use advanced grammar (pronouns, verbs, conjunctions, embedded clauses) while strengthening language comprehension, expression, and memory—skills critical for reading and writing success.

What ages are the kits designed for?
Our kits are designed to build strong oral communication skills for kids ages 3–7.
Each kit grows with your learners:

: Super Sentences: ideal for ages 5–7
The above age ranges are for typically developing language learners. The kits are versatile and often used with older children who may be language delayed or with additional language learners.
Support early learners by adding visual cues, modeling, or simplified sentences—or expand language development all the way to reading and writing for students ready for a greater challenge.
